The 2003 Honda CBR600RR was a groundbreaking, track-focused supersport that introduced MotoGP-derived technology to the street, including Unit Pro-Link rear suspension and Dual Stage Fuel Injection (DSFI). It featured a 599cc inline-four engine, 117 bhp at 13,000 rpm, and a dry weight of 169 kg (372 lbs). Known for high-revving power and agile handling, it is considered a classic, aggressive sportbike.

Engine: 599cc liquid-cooled inline-four.

Performance: ~107–117 hp (rear wheel/crank) with a 15,000 rpm redline.

Torque: 61.6 Nm (45.4 lb-ft) @ 11,000 rpm.

Top Speed: ~160 mph.

Frame: 'Hollow Fine Die Cast' aluminum frame, reducing weight and thickness.

Weight: 202 kg / 445 lbs (wet/curb weight).

Suspension: First Honda to use Unit Pro-Link, isolating the frame from shock forces.

Street Riding Characteristics:

Ergonomics: Highly aggressive, race-replica stance with high footpegs, requiring more rider effort.

Powerband: Smooth, with linear pull from 6,000 rpm, but true, intense power arrives around 9,000–10,000 rpm.

Handling: Extremely nimble and stable, often compared to a 400cc machine in terms of agility.

Comfort: While smoother than its predecessor (F4i), it is not a sport-tourer and has limited wind protection.
